Players can join the fight on any one of six sides, including obvious choices such Federation, Klingon, and Romulan, as well as more mysterious options like the Gorn, Hyrdran Kingdom, and Lyran Star Empire. Starfleet Command, a starship-based operations and combat game, successfully adapted the popular Star Fleet Battles board game and, as a result, brought the genre to a much broader audience.
